Mechanism of Action
Homatropine Hydro Bromide is an antimuscarinic agent, similar to Atropine. It inhibits the muscarinic actions of acetylcholine on autonomic effectors innervated by postganglionic cholinergic nerves. This causes dilatation of the pupil (mydriasis) and paralysis of the ciliary muscle (cycloplegia).

Uses
Homatropine Hydro Bromide is used in eye examinations to dilate the pupils, and to treat certain inflammatory conditions of the eye.
